Bookkeeper (Part-Time 20 hours/4-6 month assignment)

West Hartford, CT

Our nonprofit client is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper with QuickBooks desktop experience to manage financial operations. This is a part-time salaried role with benefits, working collaboratively with staff and volunteers.


Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, benefits, and bank accounts
  • Maintain secure financial and personnel records
  • Prepare financial reports and assist with annual budgeting
  • Coordinate with external accountants for reviews/audits
  • Share general office and administrative duties
  • Support transparent and sustainable financial practices

Qualifications

  • Experience in bookkeeping and financial management
  • Nonprofit and/or faith-based experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Familiarity with accounting and budgeting processes
  • Must have QuickBooks Desktop, Excel, and Microsoft Office experience
  • Service-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable

Pay Rate Range

  • $27 - $30 Hourly

Schedule

  • Part-time, 20-22 hours/week, on-site
  • Preferably 4-5 weekdays, hours can be slightly flexible
  • Wednesdays required
